Obrazy to zapis dnia, który nie jest prawdziwym dniem. Dzień sprzed narodzin albo średnia wszystkich dni w życiu.”
Fobian
W tłumie i hałasie ulic, utrata autentyczności staje się nieuniknioną prawdą. Ludzie stają się anonimowi, a więzi stają się kruche. Wiele znaczących momentów i wartościowych treści znika w gąszczu. To jakbyśmy gubili części siebie w wirze momentów, a nasze istnienie stawało się ulotne, jak zapomniane wspomnienia i płytkie oddechy. Terraformacje ceglanych domów walczą z gabarytami szklanych kolosów. A my dalej tacy malutcy. Wędrujemy, gubimy, odnajdujemy, wdychamy.
Czy patrząc na utrwalone interpretacje uczuć innych ludzi możemy odszukać więcej prawdy w sobie? Może ulice znają prawdę, ale my nie umiemy ich zrozumieć? Może wystarczy wysłuchać szeptu starych budynków, które przeszły już wszystko przy nas, a każda nowa osoba, każdy nowy gwóźdź w ścianie to kolejna zagłuszona opowieść. Szklane odbicia, deformacje tynku, śpiewy kafelków, rytmy linii, dym papierosów, pogubione w szumie rozmowy. Czy to jeszcze ten świat czy już kolejna myśl? Czy łapanie urywków treści na ulicach to nowy sposób na przetrwanie?

Fobian / Kalina Płużek – The glass mountain
“I had a dream that I was in a place where everything looked the same, but it wasn’t real. People are not people and objects are not objects, although nothing distinguishes them. When I woke up, nothing had changed. I don’t know this place, even though it’s the same place.
The images are a record of a day that is not a real day. The day before you were born or the average of all the days in your life.”
Fobian
In the crowds and noise of the streets, the loss of authenticity becomes an inevitable truth. People become anonymous and bonds become fragile. Many significant moments and valuable messages get lost in the shuffle. It’s as if we were losing parts of ourselves in the whirlwind of moments, and our existence became fleeting, like forgotten memories and shallow breaths. Terraforming brick houses struggle with the dimensions of glass giants. And we are still so tiny. We wander, we lose, we find, we breathe.
Can we find more truth in ourselves by looking at recorded interpretations of other people’s feelings? Maybe the streets know the truth, but we can’t understand them? Maybe it’s enough to listen to the whisper of old buildings that have gone through everything before us, and each new person, each new nail in the wall is another story that has been drowned out. Glass reflections, plaster deformations, singing tiles, rhythms of lines, cigarette smoke, conversations lost in the noise. Is this still this world or just another thought? Is catching snippets of substance on the streets the new way to survive?
